The apparent abduction of a pen with which the Czech president, Vaclav Klaus signed a bilateral agreement with his Chilean counterpart Sebastian Pinera has become one of the most watched videos on Youtube.
Klaus visited Chile in early April and signed a cooperation agreement Piñera tourist in one of the halls of the Palacio de La Moneda, the seat of government, subject to a joint press conference with reporters, cameramen and photographers, local and foreign.
While Piñera greets the press before discussing the matters discussed with his guest, Klaus sees open a case and make a stylish pen.
After observing for a few seconds, Klaus-low with his right hand which holds the pen-and hides under the table. Then it looks like the left hand inserted into the pocket of the same side to finally close his jacket. Klaus then placed both hands on the desktop, but does not get to see the pen, which was apparently one of his pockets. Finally, the Czech president closes the case, empty.
The video was broadcast by Czech Television at the weekend and then uploaded to YouTube.
To sign agreements and other documents between the president and his foreign colleagues, it is traditional to locate a pen on the desk where the subscription is made.
